Drug Resistant Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP)

Treating practitioners need reliable clinical data and evidence-based management recommendations to guide them in their treatment decisions. Clinicians are uncertain about CAP’s  (Community-Acquired Pneumonia) causative pathogens, whether their patients should be hospitalized or can be treated as an out-patient, and how emerging resistance patterns should influence their choice of narrow-spectrum or broad-spectrum antibiotics.

This ISC-developed satellite symposium presented a global perspective on methods to identify CAP and the latest challenges, research initiatives, and innovative approaches to treatment from the experts on the Community-Acquired Pneumonia and Resistance Satellite Symposium.
