Publications Expertise

Experience and Results for our Clients

ISC has extensive experience in the development and execution of global publication plans. This experience covers all aspects of communication related to medical publications including print, web and LIVE presentations. Our experience has led us to understand that FIVE KEY POINTS must be addressed to achieve successful publication-related activities:

1 - All Communication is Strategic
All information disseminated on a compound / product should be directly related to a strategic plan put in place for the market segments to be addressed. The communications goals of that plan need to be specific and designed to achieve pre-defined goals.

2 - Strategic Vision
Strategic vision plays a vital role in establishing the appropriate breadth and depth of a broad communications plan. Understanding the appropriate publication volume, timing, audiences and required topics are essential steps in reaching the established strategic vision.

3 - Publication Planning
The development of a true publications plan must take into consideration vital points which serve as the foundation of the plan. These include the key objectives of the plan, key aspects of the data that will be presented, the scope of the plan (global vs. regional) and most importantly the lifecycle impact

4 - Engaging Experts
Publications authored by Opinion Leaders and so-called Rising Stars, younger clinicians well versed in a therapeutic area, tend to draw broad attention to the manuscripts and can serve to aid in the distribution of the data being presented.

5 - Data Distribution
Controlling the publication of data, as outlined in the strategic plan, is an ongoing activity within an overall communications plan. It is essential to understand that publication timelines can and do change routinely. As such, the strategic plan must be amended to shift the planned communication window accordingly.
